Ikotec

Who we are?

Manufacture & develop auto tool repair since 1998

1998

The Beginnings

IKOTEC was founded by Christian Koch Friedburg, a mechanic engineer of German origin, who moved to Spain and established his company to manufacture and develop his first lift for cars, the so-called IKOTEC3000.

2000

Our First Product

The IKOTEC3000 was created after noticing that the underbody of cars was increasingly delicate and that hydraulic jacks used to lift them sideways were damaging the structure of the vehicles. This led Christian Koch to come up with a solution to lift cars from their wheels, thus giving rise, after three years of tests and trials, to the Electric jack as we know it today. A machine that would improve the ergonomic work position and would come in handy both for mechanical and body repairs.

2010

New Horizons

This product has become a simple but highly reliable tool in terms of quality and durability. Over 20,000 units have been sold worldwide, covering markets in South America, North America, Europe, and many other countries.

2016

EKLIPSE

given that full body repairs were becoming less frequent and that repairing individual panels of vehicles (door, fender, etc.) was increasing, there was another innovation called "EKLIPSE". It consists of a mobile painting booth that allows one to paint specific areas of the car and can be moved toward the vehicle rather than moving the car to a traditional painting booth. This new product enabled a cheaper and more comfortable painting process, as it is possible to paint several vehicles in less time.

2021

Next Steps

The company's vision of continued growth in the automotive repair market continues to develop and improve both main products.
It is without question the commitment to innovation and meeting the industry's changing needs that led the company to establish itself as a reliable and industry-leading organization.
